Pray For Baby Stellan

Please pray for baby Stellan from MckMama's Blog. They took him to the hospital due to signs similar to RSV, and while there, after being given Nebulizer treatments, his heart went into alarming high rates, and his having alot of problems. You can read specifics here. But right now, please pray! Stellan is truly a miracle from God, and now he needs your prayers! Also pray for Jennifer (MckMama) and the rest of their family.

Six??????? Already??????

I am trying not to cry while typing this post, but my first born is six! Where did the time go? I always wanted to be a mother, I couldn't wait to have babies. But, I had no idea how much being a parent requires! I am not griping mind you, but I just had no idea! I do know however, that I am very grateful for the time that God has blessed me with children.

March 19, 2003 seems like yesterday. It really does! If I close my eyes I can vividly see everything that happened at the hospital (good and bad). I remember holding Dalton for the first time, and just smiling and crying every time I would look at him because God had blessed me with such a beautiful, healthy baby. I remember being alone in my room, because Jason was in the ER (that's a whole 'nother story). My friend Chassina being one of the first to see him, and we were both crying. I think neither one of us could believe that I had a baby! After that Jennifer was there, not quite sure how to hold him. Man how life and kids has changed us! For the better of course!

This week has pretty much been the week of Dalton. When school lets out for your birthday, you pretty much get to celebrate everyday! Monday Papa (Jason's dad) came in from Iowa. That night we had a family dinner/celebration. Dalton got to pick the menu, so we had hot dogs, cheese puffs, and blueberry cobbler! Tuesday we went to The Maverick's game with friends. We let Dalton pick this year between having a party, or inviting a friend to a basketball game. Obviously, he chose the game! We had a great time, we even rode the train there-which the kids had an absolute blast! We had dinner in the West End at TGIFriday's, and they sang Happy Birthday to him, which he thought was the coolest thing in the whole world! At the game, we were literally at the very top of the stadium. Wednesday we spent the afternoon out riding dirt bikes and four wheelers. Which by the way, Dalton has only been on the dirt bike a total of two days and is already riding like a pro. He and Jason have decided that he will be starting the racing circuit when he turns 7. (please pray with me for God's protection over my baby). After that, we went to Babe's for dinner. Yummy! And today we will be going to Dinosaur World in Glenn Rose.

Busy, busy week! But, Papa has already agreed to watch the boys on Friday night, so that we can have a date night! Yay Papa!

Below are some pictures of the week. Enjoy!

Finally My Own Room!

No, Jason and I are not fighting, but we have been really busy in the house. Over a year ago, our dog Levi locked himself in our guest room/office. And then tried to dig himself out. Needless to say, the carpet was ruined, and we had to rip up the rest. For a year now, we have had nothing on the floor except concrete, and an area rug. We have also had a desk that was entirely too big for that room.

Well, we finally got carpet! Woo-Hoo! While we had the desk moved out to install the carpet, we decided to see what the desk looked like in the front room. It looks great by the way! So, we moved some furniture around, and I officially have a guest room. I keep calling it my room, because I can decorate it any way I want. I can finally hang up some girly paintings that my grandmother painted, that I have had no where to display them.

And if you think this news is exciting, just wait...
We did all of this on Thurs and Fri. When I came home from work on Saturday, Jason had a surprise for me. He built me a scrapbook station in the closet of my new room! Yes, he is the most amazing husband in the entire world!

So, I am officially organized. I know, this is really hard to believe, but it is true! I am posting pictures of the final reveal.

Dirt-bikes and Stomach-aches

Yes, the thought of dirt bikes and my children on them makes my stomach hurt, but that is not the exact reason for this post. (Well-sort of.)

After much discussion, prayer, and debate, we decided to get Dalton his first dirt bike for his birthday. The we here is taken lightly you know. I really have no control over the manly wants in my household. So, today we had family day. Dalton's last basketball game, then a little Old Navy sight seeing, and Chuck E Cheese! The kids had a blast, and we had a really great time as a family. Then home for a nap. This was the best part! LOL

Later, we were playing outside, and Jason being the big kid that he is just can't wait to give D his present! So....Dalton got to unveil his dirt bike today! He was sooo excited! We have had the "with this bike comes responsibility" talk, and tomorrow we will take him out to start learning all the basics of it.

Now onto the stomach ache part. Yes, the thought of the dirt bike and all that comes with it does make my stomach hurt, but we have apparently gotten a little touch of a stomach something or other. Needless to say, the boys can't stop talking about the "poop". It is kinda comical though. Hopefully one day is all it is. I have heard this is going around.

Enjoy the pictures of our weekend. I have included some pictures of Fri night at Sonic for ice cream. We met a really neat family while we were there, and I will have to blog more on them later. But for now, please say a prayer for Joy and her family. (God knows what's up)

Thank You Lord

Thank you Lord for first glances. Thank you Lord for second chances. Lord, tonight I am praising you in the most high from a place that could have easily been my most low. Lord, I thank you for your hand of protection around Carson, Lord I thank you for your eyes with the driver of that truck, Lord I thank you for your arms and strength with me.

Tonight I am reminded of 2 verses: "Taste and see that the Lord is good, blessed is the man who takes refuge in him. Psalm 34:8 and also "So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand." Isaiah 41:10

Tonight, I have seen that the Lord is good, that He is our protector, and that He gives us strength of all kinds, and that He is always, always with us. It may sometimes seem like He isn't there, but He is always with us. And apart from Him, we can do nothing. With a joyful heart I sing the praises to my King.

That is all I can put for now, as I go to snuggle with my precious gifts from God.
